An accountant or advisor can manage your business depending on the access you provide or even sign up for a trial and add one or more businesses on its own. To manage your business, the accountant first needs to sign up on BrightBooks as an accountant and then receive an invite from you.

Signing up as an accountant
Complete the following steps.
- Open https://brightbooks.com/ and click the Accountants menu.
- Click Sign up as an Accountant. The My Details page appears.
- On the My Details page, enter the required details and click Sign Up. An email is sent to your email ID requesting confirmation.
- Open the email and click the confirmation link. You are signed up as an accountant.
- Log in to BrightBooks with your credentials. The image below shows the landing page for accountants.
Inviting an accountant
Complete the following steps.
- Log in to BrightBooks as a user. The Business page appears.
- On the Business page, find the required business record and click the business name. The Customers page appears.
- On the left panel, click Settings.
- The Settings page appears. On the Settings page, under the GENERAL SETUP heading, click Users.
- Select the Invite Accountant button on the top right.
- If you invite a user with an existing email address but not an accountant, then an information message is displayed. "The email address which you have entered does not correspond with the name of an accountant held in our systems. Please contact our customer success team by email at brightbookssuccess@brightsg.com to request to have this accountant added to our database."
- If you invite a user with a non-existent login, then an information message is displayed. "The email you entered does not exist in BrightBooks. Please try with another email."
