The Settings page can be accessed from the Home page, after clicking on the top-right Settings icon. Settings have been categorised into three sections- Business Information, Account Settings, and Help and FAQs. The Account Settings page shows the details of the account.
Logged In As
This sub-section displays the username/email of the user who is logged in. This is a static tab and does not enable you to edit the details.
Pricing Plan
The Pricing Plan tab shows you the price plan that you are registered under. This is a static tab and does not enable you to edit the details. If the plan needs to be changed, the user can change it from the BrightBooks website.
Enable Passcode
The Enable Passcode radio button lets you switch to login using a passcode in place of the password. Once you turn on the radio button, a new placeholder appears that helps you Set Up or Change the passcode.
To set up a new passcode, follow the steps mentioned.
- Click on the Set up or Change passcode field.
- Enter a four-digit passcode.
- Re-enter the four-digit passcode that you provided earlier.
- Click Apply to set it up.
To change the previous passcode, follow the steps mentioned.
- Click on the Set up or Change passcode field.
- Enter your four-digit previous passcode.
- Enter the four-digit new passcode that you want to change to.
- Re-enter the four-digit passcode that you want to change to.
- Click Apply to set it up.
The passcode is now updated. Now you can log in using either the Passcode you just set up, or log in using your registered username/email address and password.
Enable Fingerprint/Face ID
The Enable Fingerprint/Face ID radio button lets you switch to login using a fingerprint or face ID, using in place of the password. To set it up, follow the steps mentioned.
- Turn on the radio button to enable the Fingerprint or Face ID.
- The application uses the Fingerprint and Face ID that are already integrated with your smartphone.
- If the application does not recognise your Fingerprint or Face ID, click on the Use Pattern button.
- This lets you log in using your smartphone's pattern.
The passcode is now updated. Now you can log in using either the Fingerprint/Face ID you just set up, passcode or log in using your registered username/email address and password.
