One Time Setup

After adding a Business, you need to complete a one-time setup by providing certain necessary information. After the set-up, your business is ready to set up data such as customer, invoice, quotes and credit note records.

If the number of businesses, while adding in a bureau, exceeds your current plan's maximum limit, you will be redirected to BrightHub. Bright has now consolidated all its products under a single roof, BrightHub. You will find the detailed help here.

Log in and on the Business page, click the business you have set up.
On the Welcome to BrightBooks page, enter the following information and click Continue.

FIELD	STEP
BUSINESS TYPE	Select the preferred type of business.
COA TEMPLATE	Select from the dropdown.
ACCOUNT DETAILS
CURRENCY	Select the base currency of the business.
YEAR START	Select the Financial year start.
YEAR-END	Select the Financial year end.
CONTACT CODING
CUSTOMER CODING	Set up how the unique codes to customers are allocated.
SUPPLIER CODING	Set up how the unique codes to suppliers are allocated.
PROSPECT CODING	Set up how the unique codes to prospects are allocated.
VAT REGISTRATION DETAILS
VAT NUMBER	Select the Business VAT number.
SALES VAT BASIS	Select the VAT basis.
PURCHASE VAT BASIS	Select the VAT basis.
VAT REGISTRATION STATUS	Select the Registration Status.
