In order to sign up and access any of our Bright products, you must have a BrightID. This is a central user profile which you can use to access the various software. To create a BrightID go to https://brightsg.com/. You can start the process through the application you are currently interested in. For this guide, we will select “Software Solutions” on the top left of the screen then select BrightBooks.

You can then choose to select the “Start Free Trial” option in the centre of the screen or scroll down to the various pricing plans to pick the one you need. After selecting any of the options, you will be prompted to start a trial. Click “Get started” to create your BrightID and your business on our central subscription management system “BrightHub”. This involves entering the following mandatory information

First Name*

Last Name*

Business Email*

Password*

Confirm password*

Once completed, click “continue” to verify your email address. An email is sent to the email entered above. Simply open this mail and type in the verification code you received on screen to continue.

The last step is to enter some details about your business.

• Organisation name – This is the name of your organisation that will be reflected in your application and present on your invoices & reports done from Brightbooks.
• Region – You may select either the UK or Ireland here to ensure you get the correct VAT return format and rules.
• Contact no – Please enter the business contact number
• Nature of business – You can either select “Practice” if you are part of an accounting firm that provides financial services to clients or “Business” if you are working for a single business managing your own books. These options will affect the ability to purchase our bureau subscriptions to manage multiple companies or single subscriptions for a specific business so ensure this is selected correctly to avoid potential confusion later.

Congratulations! You now have a BrightID, and your business has been created for BrightHub. You can now manage changes to your BrightID, Business details, subscriptions, users and billing. For detailed help navigating BrightHub, click here.
