Adding a Business

This topic gives the following procedures:

Signing up as a User

If you'd like to sign up as a trial user, please complete the following steps-

  1. Go to https://brightbooks.com/ and from the home page, click Try for Free. The User Setup page appears.
  2. Enter the required details on the User Setup page and click Sign Up. A confirmation and activation email is sent to the email ID you provided.
  3. On the activation email, click the activation link. The demonstration data is prepared and the login page appears.
  4. Your user credentials are confirmed.

Adding Business

Note: We have introduced additional business types, which will align BrightBooks with the entity types available in Bright Accounts Production. 

You can add a trial or a paid business. The trial business is available for 30 days, and you can access a business with preset data. You can upgrade the trial business within 30 days to a paid business.

SME Business

Trial Business

  1. Sign up as a user.
  2. Log in to BrightBooks using your credentials.
  3. On the Business Page, click Add Trial. You will be redirected to BrightHub.
  4. Bright has now consolidated all its products under a single roof, BrightHub. With the consolidation implemented, you will be able to add a trial business through BrightHub.  You will find the detailed help here.
  5. The redirected page will display and allow you to a trial business.

Paid Business

  1. On the Business page, click Add.
  2. Enter the required details of the business and click Next.
  3. Select a payment plan and choose the most convenient payment method.
  4. Your new business is available on the Business Page.

Bureau Business

If the number of businesses, while adding in a bureau, exceeds your current plan's maximum limit, you will be redirected to BrightHub. Bright has now consolidated all its products under a single roof, BrightHub.

You can view the number of businesses used from the left panel Payment Details>Already Used.

  1. With the consolidation implemented, you will be able to add business under BrightHub.  You will find the detailed help here.
  2. The redirected page will display and allow you to add new business, change the business plan, change the payment plan, and upgrade.

Upgrading a Trial Business

Bright has now consolidated all its products under a single roof, BrightHub. Thus, to upgrade your trial business, complete the steps.

  1. Click Payment Details on the left panel. 
  2. Click Show Details in BrightHub on the pop-up window that appears. 
  3. With the consolidation implemented, you will be able to upgrade a trial business under BrightHub.  You will find the detailed help here.
  4. The redirected page will display and allow you to add new business, change the business plan, change the payment plan, and upgrade.
