1. Where the logo is controlled
Your logo is managed through your Invoice and Print Templates in Settings.
You typically need to:
- Open the template used for your invoices (and other documents).
- Update the logo image in that template.
- Save and test by previewing an invoice or document.
2. Prepare your new logo
Before you upload:
- Use a clear image file (commonly PNG or JPG).
- Keep the file size reasonable so PDFs and emails generate quickly.
- Choose a sensible aspect ratio (e.g., wider than tall) so it fits neatly in the header.
If the logo is very large or oddly shaped, it may appear distorted or push other header details out of place.
3. Updating the logo on templates
To change the logo on invoices and other documents:
- Go to your Invoice and Print Templates area.
- Select the template you want to update (e.g. Sales Invoice, Quote, Statement).
- In the header section:
- Locate the current logo/image placeholder.
- Use the change/upload image option to select your new logo file.
- Adjust the size and position if the template allows:
- Make sure it doesn’t overlap with your business name, address, or other header fields.
- Save the template.
Repeat this for any other templates where you want the new logo to appear (credit notes, quotes, orders, statements, etc.).
4. Ensuring the right template is used
If you’ve changed the logo but still see the old one:
- Check which template is selected on the invoice or document.
- Make sure you updated that exact template, not a different one.
- Remember that print and email/PDF can use different templates:
- Update the logo on both if needed.
5. Testing the new logo
After updating:
- Open a recent invoice or create a test invoice.
- Use Preview/Print to generate a PDF.
- Check:
- The logo appears correctly.
- It’s clear and not pixelated.
- It doesn’t cover or push other header details out of view.
If it looks too big or small, go back to the template and adjust the logo size or upload a resized version.
6. Common issues and fixes
- Logo not changing
- You may have updated a different template than the one in use. Confirm the template name on the invoice and update that one.
- Logo missing on some documents
- Each document type (invoice, quote, order, statement) can have its own template. Add the logo to each template you use.
- Logo looks blurry or stretched
- Use a higher‑quality image with appropriate dimensions.
- Avoid very small images that need to be enlarged, or very large images that are heavily scaled down.
